I’m excited to be sharing these sweet photos of Alexa and Matthew’s elegant spring wedding at the Historic Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, PA. This venue is magic in so many ways, with its historical charm and proximity to Philly, New Jersey, and New York. I love shooting weddings here and was thrilled to be back for Alexa and Matthew’s big day.

A Magical Day at Aldie Mansion

Alexa and Matthew had been together for 13 years before they were engaged, so their wedding at the Aldie was all about celebrating “a long journey already together and looking ahead happily surrounded by all of those who have been with us along the way.” They were going for a whimsical, magical, and elegant vibe and they totally nailed it.

Alexa’s Justin Alexander dress from Castle Couture was an absolute DREAM! Alexa is very comfortable in front of the camera, and that main character energy shined through in all of the images. She’s simply gorgeous and her wedding day fit was perfection.

Bliss in every corner of the Aldie Mansion

Aldie Mansion is an English-country estate, built in 1927. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and tall trees, it’s easy to find the perfect spot for photos. The Aldie has several options for outdoor ceremony sites. Alexa and Matthew were lucky enough to have beautiful spring weather that added to the magic of the moment.

Alexa’s “something blue” were two of her close friends donned in beautiful blue floral dresses. As honorary members of the bridal party, they had small bouquets and sat in the front row during the ceremony. Such a sweet idea! Huge kudos to Thistle Do Flower Co for creating the most elegant and springy white bouquets.

Alexa did a first look with her whole family before the ceremony. Such a lovely moment of joy and celebration. They have a very tight-knit family, and I loved capturing their relationships in photos.

It’s part of the Heritage Conservancy, so each wedding there is a donation to preserving and protecting the areas rich cultural history. Plus, the Heritage Conservancy plants a tree in one of their nature preserves for every wedding celebrated at Aldie Mansion.
