I could shoot florals all day. I love the color, vibrancy, and life they bring to images with their natural beauty. Good florists have a way of integrating texture, seasonality, and the unique personality of the couple into stunning arrangements that make weddings feel magical. The right floral touch is that final bit of dimension that makes your wedding style stand out. I love capturing images of gorgeous florals that couples can treasure forever.
I’ve gotten to work with lots of amazing florists over the years. I’m excited to spotlight a few of my East Coast favorites here.
Many Graces is a team of florist designers and farmers based in central Massachusetts. They grow custom flowers for their wedding clients on their sustainable, no-till farm. Inspired by poetry, their floral designs seek to showcase a flower’s natural shape, movement, texture, color, and uniqueness. They believe flowers help tell the story of each couple and are truly talented at bringing those stories to life!
Another one of my favorites is Devon & Pinkett. Although they are based in Pennsylvania, they are willing to travel anywhere to make your floral dreams come true! Owner Kate and her team are super skilled at making unique and personalized arrangements with floral from all over the world.
Grapewood Floral is a boutique wedding florist in Phoenixville, PA. Owner and floral artist Amy creates elegant floral designs that elevate weddings, bringing natural color and texture to each unique event. Amy’s bouquets are always on point and fun to photograph.
Finally, I need to give a shout out to the mother-daughter duo at Hiddenvale Flowers. They grow most of their flowers on their family farm in Maryland. Their focus on locally grown, in-season blooms create gorgeous bouquets full of artistry and love. I definitely recommend looking them up for a summertime wedding!
Liberty Plants is a small, specialty cut flower farm in Trappe, PA. They’re a family business (run by Alyssa, an amazing mama of 3!) growing gorgeous, sustainable flowers using no-till methods. Alyssa’s flowers are always seasonal, and stunning at every event she designs. Liberty Plants also grows a variety of organic, heirloom vegetable and herb plants that can be found at nearby farmers markets.
Straight fairytale experience in Vermont. Founder, Jordy Baker, has worked with master florists all over the world, specifically Australia. How cool is that? With the environment at heart, this team will make your flower dreams come true however you see fit. I teamed up with her to photograph the wedding of a dear high school friend and it sure was a treat. Jen’s bouquet was a force all on its own! Heavenscent serves just about all of Vermont and more, so be sure to give them a visit if you’re in the area.
Next is Ruby Rivers Floral, run by Julia. Ruby Rivers Floral offers luxury creative floral design for weddings in the Philadelphia area. Julia specializes in creating beautiful arrangements that reflect the unique visions and personalities of the couple. She’s a dream to work with and I love teaming up with her on Philly weddings.
Beautiful Blooms is a great choice for large-scale weddings. Their talented team of designers and planners build gorgeous arrangements to accentuate any venue. Their design services extend beyond floral to lighting, decor, and details for couples looking for a more immersive experience. They make a solid team with Cescaphe. I’ve always enjoyed photographing their amazing work!
Last but never least, Topiary!! A dream. These gals have an eye for texture and specifically bold color. I can proudly say this is yet another woman owned floral biz crushing the wedding game!! Did I mention they also do horticultural design? Check them out!
If you’re in the area, check out these talented folks for your wedding! You won’t be disappointed. ___________________________________________________________________
