I LOVE a good winter wedding. I love the twinkle lights, the class, and sheer joy of people getting together under one roof on a cold night to celebrate love. Kathy & Calvin’s winter wedding in downtown Detroit was absolutely stunning.

The classy black attire of the bridal party, the gold accents on the dinnerware, and the timeless white floral turned a dreary winter day into something truly magical.  Kathy and Calvin’s 5-star vendor team included Juniper & Lace Events, Detroit Athletic Club, Jade Social, and Vivano Flower Shop. If you’re getting married in the Detroit area, look up these talented folks! I must take a moment to RAVE about Stacy at Juniper & Lace Events. Warm, approachable and ready for whatever. Thanks to her I could see the DAC prior to the wedding and she made time to go over all the rooms we’d need to prep our gear for.

Photographing Indoor Winter Weddings

It’s my job as a wedding photographer to capture beautiful images in the places of your dreams, whether it be an outdoor setting or an indoor venue like the beautiful Detroit Athletic Club. I’ll bring the camera, the lights, and an eye for the details; you bring the smiles. We’ll work together to get all the images on your list and have lots of fun doing it!

At Kathy and Calvin’s wedding, the ornate decor of the DAC made a beautiful backdrop for the bridal party and family formals. We also got to step out on the balcony for some romantic shots with Detroit’s skyline in the background. I always take the extra time before the wedding to scope out beautiful and unique spaces for candid and posed photos.
